The unified consignment note CIM / SMGS links the two legal systems CIM and SMGS. This allows your goods transports, both as single wagon

s and in wagon groups or block trains, between Europe, the CIS and China, to be handled in a single rail freight document. The unified consignment note also applies in the customs territory of the EU / EFTA as a transit declaration T.

The document is considered as a national customs document in the SMGS area. Because the export clearance is already made when the consignment is dispatched in the EU/ EFTA, there is no rewrite of the consignment notes at the re-dispatching point between the CIM and SMGS areas. Connected with this, the wagon standing time can be reduced.
